Get ready for the Tiger Science Challenge: Balloon Car Challenge! Middle school Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing students, here your chance to put your STEM skills, creativity, and problem-solving abilities to the test.
Design and build your own balloon-powered car and see how far it can travel!
Your balloon car will be judged in two categories: Distance and Creative Design. For Distance, you will measure how far your car travels in feet. Cars that do not win a Distance award will then be considered for Creative Design, where judges will look at creativity, originality, craftsmanship, and overall design. Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in each category.
This challenge takes patience, creativity, and some clever engineering. Experiment with your design, test your car, make improvements, and see how far it can go!
