The Spirit Writing competition is for deaf and hard-of-hearing students in grades 10th, 11th, and 12th as of Fall 2026.  To participate, students can submit a writing project of up to 2,000 words on the competition theme. 

The theme for this year's SpiRIT Writing Competition is "Change Starts with You".

Writing Prompt:

1. What is one small change you could make that would have a big impact on others? Describe your idea and explain why it is important.
